The first record of the Cattle Egret for South Kazakhstan. There are known sightings on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, flights to the Sholakkol lakes in the lower reaches of the Turgay and in the Kurgaldzhino region.

The first record of the European Stonechat in Kazakhstan and, possibly, in Central Asia in general. Another male was photographed in the Karagie depression on March 26, 2023 (Yasko A., birds.kz) and a female on the Aktau on March 27, 2023 (Kenzhegulov, birds.kz).
