Description

Red color of cheeks and breast of hybrids is separated by grey. Hybrids of seconf generation may have asimetrical red and grey spots. In contrast to Rosy-cheeked Bullfinch hybrids have less saturation of red in cheeks and throat, which has lesss space and diffuse border. Also Rosy-cheeked Bullfinch colors are homogeneous, not by spots.

Distribution

Bullfinch which is identified as hybrid between Northern (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) and Baikal (Pyrrhula cineracea) Bullfinches was recorded by Yuri Malkov in Karabalyk village of Kustanai oblast in January 11, 2019.
