Distribution

On migration occurs everywhere in flat Kazakhstan and foothills of Western Tien Shan. Two pairs recorded in Ural valley 7 July 1957, and one obtained 2 July 1949 near Yanvarzevo village. On Mangyshlak observed near Shetpe station in May 2004, single bird was watched at 24 April 2003 at Kanshengel.

Biology

Common, in places rare, passage migrant. Occurs singly and in flocks of up to 20-30 birds on wet meadows, in grass thickets along the shores of rivers and lakes; flood plains, hayfields, kitchen gardens and stubble fields. In spring arrives in mid to end April, last birds observed in end of May. In autumn appears in early September to early October, most birds migrates in October, the last ones recorded in early-mid November.

Канатбек Кенжегулов: Подсказывают, что возможно Халей с нарушенной линькой, что это значит насчет нарушенной линьки - не знаю. Клюв не длинноват для Халея?
